The IRENA NewGen Hackathons for Youth initiative is a global programme led by the International Renewable Energy Agency to support youth-led innovation in renewable energy. The initiative provides a structured platform for young professionals, students, and innovators to ideate, prototype, and advance solutions addressing key energy transition challenges, while strengthening links between innovators, policymakers, industry, academia, and investors.

DOTANK Plus was engaged to design a scalable implementation strategy and operational guidebook for the NewGen Hackathons. The assignment focused on establishing high-quality, impact-oriented hackathon models that generate actionable clean-tech solutions, strengthen regional innovation ecosystems, and increase the likelihood of ideas progressing into viable ventures.
