Youth-Friendly Standards
Methodology Framework Development
the case
With youth populations surging across Sub-Saharan Africa, governments and organizations face a crucial challenge: how to meaningfully include young people in governance, service delivery, and development strategies. Traditional youth programming often falls short, focusing narrowly on participation while overlooking structural integration and long-term value creation.
In response, Consortium Jeunesse Sénégal (CJS), supported by international partners such as UNICEF, Generation Unlimited, and the Mastercard Foundation, initiated the Youth Friendly Standards (YFS), a first-of-its-kind framework to embed youth inclusion across all operational levels of organizations. DOTANK Plus was engaged as a core strategic partner, contributing to the methodology design, tool development, pilot assessments, and global launch of the framework
